Powder Coating vs. Liquid Coating

Production Paint Finishers can provide our customers with either liquid coating or powder coating.

There are factors that make one or the other more effective sometimes. Typically, the difference is customer preference and does not differ enough to matter.

  • Doesn't mask well (i.e. Threads, tape dots, etc.)

  • Costly for small volumes/special colors
  • Longer lead time to get special color powder from coating manufacturer
  • Environmental issues
  • Lower single film thickness build
